Material HandlerThis role supports a large manufacturing facility in the Eastern Indianapolis region by safely and efficiently handling high volumes of materials on 2nd and 3rd shift. You will move, track, and document products using a variety of material-handling equipment and tools while working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.ResponsibilitiesPull, pick, and pack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, handling approximately 1,000 boxes per person per shift.Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, as well as tuggers, to move carts filled with materials throughout the facility.Occasionally operate a sit-down forklift to move palletized products safely and accurately.Physically push full carts containing 72 containers per cart, approximately 10 times per day.Use an RF scanner to track inventory and ensure accurate picking, packing, and order fulfillment.Weigh product and packaging according to customer specifications to ensure correct quantities and compliance.Accurately document materials, batch numbers, and related information in accordance with company guidelines.Work efficiently in a warehouse and manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.Participate in a structured training program, including lecture-style and hands-on learning, to gain proficiency before moving to the assigned shift.Follow all safety procedures when using material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tuggers, and forklifts.Essential SkillsExperience as a Forklift or Tugger Operator, with proven ability to operate material-handling equipment safely.Experience as an Order Selector or similar role involving picking, packing, and inventory handling.At least 1+ year of tenure per job in prior work history, demonstrating reliability and consistency.Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking.Experience working with pallet jacks (manual and electric), tuggers, and sit-down forklifts.Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment handling materials and picking orders.Capability to repeatedly lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and push heavy carts throughout the shift.Comfort working in a hot, dirty, and oily department while maintaining safety and productivity.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a large manufacturing or warehouse facility is beneficial.Comfort working on 2nd or 3rd shift after completion of training on 1st shift.Willingness to participate in a structured training program that includes both lecture-style and hands-on instruction.Flexibility to work overtime, including 2- to 4-hour extensions at the end of shifts and occasional Saturdays with advance notice.Strong attention to detail for weighing products, packaging, and documenting batch numbers and materials.Ability to follow standardized procedures and guidelines in a high-volume production environment.Why Work Here?Team members benefit from clear opportunities for internal growth, supported by a structured training program and a dedicated on-site Global Training Center. The department is described as very hot, dirty, and oily, so candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding and industrial environment.

Work is performed primarily on 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday) or 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday), with initial training on 1st shift (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday) for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. The training program is highly structured and conducted through an on-site Global Training Center, combining two weeks of lecture-style instruction with hands-on training over the full training period. Overtime is common and typically involves extending the shift by 2 to 4 hours, with occasional Saturday work communicated in advance. The work environment includes regular use of RF scanners, electric and manual pallet jacks, tuggers, and sit-down forklifts to move materials and palletized products.
