Job Description
Midway Staffing is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Production Material Handler to keep materials available for production, mixing, and packaging operations.
Position Details
- Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday
- Hours: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Schedule is subject to change based on production needs
- Overtime is required as needed
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
- Environment: Dry production and manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a thorough forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift
- Read and follow the daily production schedule
- Ensure materials are available for production, mixing, and packaging
- Operate a forklift to transport products, raw materials, and equipment
- Deliver materials to production lines and mixing rooms as needed
- Sort and organize materials for processing or transportation
- Read work orders and verify production specifications
- Record operational and production information accurately
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and production team members
- Perform manual production or material-handling duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all GMP, safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental procedures
- Perform other duties assigned by the production supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification or license
- Previous material-handling, forklift, or production experience is preferred
- Ability to read work orders and follow production schedules
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more
- Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and get on and off equipment throughout the shift
- Ability to operate forklift foot controls for extended periods
