Job Title: Material Handler
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts or other equipment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock audits.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material needs and discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) or other inventory software.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse or production setting.
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and physical activity.
