Material Handler-Cleaning & Heat TreatmentSetup, operate and continually load/unload various machines associated with fastener parts cleaning, degreasing, heat-treating and other treatment operations. Perform general departmental maintenance including machine cleaning, preventative maintenance, quality checks, documentation and inventory. The ability to follow directions is extremely important as well as deductive reasoning skills, ability to multi-task, and being able to work independently.
This position requires an individual that is able to safely move heavy material around their department on a continual basis.Skills or Experience Desired:High School Graduate or GED desired, AND experience operating and/or maintaining machinery in a manufacturing setting, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.Mechanical ability with regard to making adjustments to machinery to achieve maximum operating efficiency.Ability to perform physically demanding work including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height.General:Demonstrate commitment to personal safety and following all safety requirements; use PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and glovesDaily work in a standard factory and machine shop environment and frequent/high exposure to machine oils, lubricants, metal shavings, etc.Shift rotation as well as cross-training/rotating into Plating and Waste-Water Treatment operations may be required.Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
