AdvanSix strives to deliver best-in-class customer experiences and differentiated products in the industries of nylon solutions, chemical intermediates, and plant nutrients, guided by our core values of Safety, Integrity, Accountability and Respect.Job Responsibilities:Loading, warehousing, and shipping of tankers, boxes, sacks and overseas bulk containers by using various processes (manual and mechanical)Participate in AdvanSix OS (Operating System) principles, i.e. Standard Work, 5S, Continuous Improvement, etc.Obtain a fork lift licenseParticipate in scheduled and unscheduled outagesTrain unqualified Material HandlersAdditional responsibilities as neededBasic Qualifications:Minimum high school diploma/GEDMust be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtimeProficiency with a computer, including programs such as Word and ExcelMust be able to complete a background check and drug test successfullyMust have strong communication skillsMust be willing and able to work in a team environmentMust meet minimum physical requirements needed to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodationMust be able to safely wear, utilize, and operate all required personal protective equipment (PPE) according to manufacturer specifications.Preferred Qualifications:Chemical operations background/experience is preferred (at least 1 year)Fork truck preferredAble to manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentBasic computer and troubleshooting skillsHave a strong work ethic and initiative to learn processesAbility to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feetComfortable entering and working in confined spacesPhysical Requirements:Required to work on uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces and in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.)Ability to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., and exert up to 75 pounds pullAbility to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feetThe hourly rate for this position is $21.96.
