Material HandlerMonday through Friday 7AM to 3:30PM.Job Summary: The Material Handler, under the direction of the Manager, will be responsible for the staging and movement of raw materials and finished products within the production environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Contribute to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.Inspect forklift daily, change propane tanks as needed, and safely operate forklift.Ensure extrusion operators and production assistants obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner (i.e. capping, dunnage boards, boxes, scrap bins).May assist in wrapping and banding finished material and moving to storage area on occasion.Scan completed material rack before transporting to designated storage area.May assist loading regrind into silos or bags as directed.Assist in the operation and general maintenance of grinders as requested.Provide production support in the staging of bins, skids, and raw materials.Assist in recycling of cardboard and other waste products.Depending on plant (Wood, PVC or Rail), may assist Receiving Department in loading and unloading of trucks.Depending on plant (Wood, PVC or Rail), may observe and document silo readings to ensure appropriate amount of material is available for daily production.Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.No prior experience necessary. Meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech's Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program. Forklift certification.
Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced.
