Material Handler
Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures.
Read shipping schedule and follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.
Move products in accordance to the shipping schedule.
Basic skill in the use of manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment.
Job requirements include:
2 years of production/warehouse experience.
Ability to operate electrical jack and fork lifts.
Attention to detail.
Able to read, write and speak English.
Good organizational skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments.
Physical requirements include:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs intermittently.
Able to push and pull manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks.
Normal vision.
Ability to be on their feet for 8 hours.
