This role plays a critical part in ensuring order accuracy, maintaining safe operations, and keeping workflow moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment.Material Handling & DistributionReceive, inspect, unload, and store incoming materials and productsStage and deliver materials to production, warehouse, or operational areas to support workflow and productivityAccurately pick, pull, and prepare materials for production orders, customer orders, and deliveriesAssist with pre-staging and preparation of scheduled shipments and deliveriesLoad and unload trucks safely and efficiently while ensuring materials are protected from damageVerify order accuracy, quantities, and product specifications prior to shipment or deliveryInventory & Warehouse OperationsMaintain organized storage locations and material flow throughout the facilityAssist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and physical inventoriesMonitor inventory levels and report shortages, damaged materials, or discrepanciesLabel, organize, and store materials according to company standards and operational requirementsSupport inventory accuracy through proper documentation and material trackingEquipment OperationOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (as needed)Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concernsFollow all equipment operating procedures and safety guidelinesTeam Collaboration & Customer SupportWork closely with warehouse, production, shipping, delivery, and operations teams to support business needsAssist delivery personnel with loading, unloading, and material placement activities as neededSupport efficient communication and coordination across departmentsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow and operational efficiencySafety & HousekeepingFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasReport unsafe conditions, damaged materials, or operational concerns promptlySupport a culture of safety, quality, and accountabilityPerform additional duties as assignedWhat you'll bring:Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic math and measurement skillsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesExperience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling operationsForklift experience and ability to operate material handling equipment safelyFamiliarity with inventory management, shipping, and receiving processesExperience working with building materials, millwork, lumber, or construction products preferredValid driver's license and safe driving recordWork is performed in warehouse, production, yard, and distribution environmentsAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shiftAbility to lift and move materials weighing up to 80 pounds using safe lifting techniquesExposure to machinery, forklifts, varying temperatures, dust, and operational environmentsMay require occasional support for deliveries, loading activities, or extended hours based on business needsWhat you'll earn:Health care benefitsPaid time offBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
