Job TitleIndependent Electronics Assembler3-6 month contract $22 Per hour Location: Denton, TX Schedule: for now its M-F 6 - 2:30p but could change. Includes weekend rotationWork Environment: Non-temperature controlled warehouse; exposure to seasonal heat and cold.Job Summary: Independently build, assemble, and install complete configuration of electronics, telecommunications or audio/visual equipment's; sub-assemblies, to racks based on drawings, instructions, and as provided by the customer order.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Independently completes the assembly and integration of equipment, components and parts of a given configuration according to engineering drawings, instructions and industry practices.Performs go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.Perform plug-in-place of ESD sensitive circuit cards and devices.Perform product packaging with consideration in prevention of damages during transportation.Read and apply OEM installation guide and provide feedback to engineering on changes in production documentation to meet OEM and customer specifications.Supports continuous improvement by following established processes, identifying inefficiencies or issues, and contributing to solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.Leverages available tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, where appropriate to improve efficiency and streamline work.Managerial Responsibility: No direct reports.Travel/Shift Requirements: No travel required. Ability to work non-standard shift hours.Physical Demands: Ability to lift and/or push 40lbs.
Able to stand for two or more hours at a time.Skills and Abilities Required:Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English to safely perform job duties.Use of general tools such as: screwdriver, utility knife, socket/wrench sets, pliers, cutter, wire stripper, crimper, etc. and powered hand tools.Understand verbal instructions in English.Reading technical drawings, schematics and diagrams.Build and connect cable harness and wire according to specification with various termination methodologies - mechanical, compression, IDC, soldering.Knowledgeable with cable management in cable routing, protection and applications.Mounting of equipment to racks to specification.Use of computer in simple data retrieval or entry.Basic ability to understand and apply manufacturer's equipment installation guide.Set up and use of test equipment - multi tester, hi-pot tester, DS-1 signal tester/T-Bert.Knowledgeable with grounding system, grounding requirement for bay/cabinet configurations and their applications.Able to perform simple trouble shooting in cabling/wiring fault, power feed failure, system functional failure.Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment on electronics products.Education and Experience Preferred: Knowledge and experience in electronics.
