Liquid's Material Handler Second ShiftThe Material Handler performs a variety of picking, staging, and organizing tasks. This position is to provide full support to the production and warehouse team and will have a complete and working understanding of the production and shipping schedule.Roles and responsibilities include:Pick and stage Extraction, Blending, and Packaging materials to the point of useDetermine designated areas for delivery of items to each location in the plant and return of these items after production has been completedDetermine designated areas for finished goods within the freezer, cooler, and warehouse from each of the three departmentsResponsible for the organization, rotation, picking, and putting away of all refrigerated materialsManagement of all recycled items (cardboard and poly drums) including, but not limited to proper disposal/storage once collapsed/cleaned by production and use is completeClear and concise communication with the production team regarding future needs and the current scheduleDevelopment in determining the best route to run over time and document best practices including duration, stops, and stocking levels of material on the production floorAssistance during the busy season of agricultural production runs and deliveryTracking of skid usage and maintaining a minimum for production use as well as managing skids to be returned for recyclingAssist in tracking consumption and use of production supplies such as tape and shipping corrugate as well as working closely with the inventory lead in cycle countsAssist the labs in sample collections for projectsDisposal of trash in a timely mannerMaintain the warehouse and the back-parking lot in an orderly fashion keeping areas accessible and free of clutterRequired skills and experience:High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferredForklift experience as well as stand up double reach trucksCurrent possessor of a Class A or class B CDL preferred, but not requiredInterest in obtaining CDL if not already in possessionStrong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activitiesStrong focus on customer commitmentExcellent problem-solving skillsMust follow safety requirements and ensure the production team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator)Hourly rate: $17 per hour.2nd shift: Monday - Friday 11a-7:30pFor more information on our benefits click here.The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
