Material HandlerThe Material Handler is responsible for accurately preparing, picking, staging, and wrapping orders for shipment. This role is an entry level opportunity, however previous material handling experience is preferred. The ability to perform basic math functions as well as basic computer knowledge is required.
The job duties are performed outside, therefore you must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. The position does offer the opportunity for cross training and experience in a variety of tasks related to shipping and receiving.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Practice high level of safety at all timesRead/Identify components on pick sheetSafely drive and operate fork liftIdentify locations in shipping yardTransport products to wrapperFlex wrap product to be shippedLabel and identify ordersStage loads in Less Than Truckload (LTL) or Full Truckload (FTL) shipmentsAssemble hardware kits based on design quantitiesProperly pallet load quantities on truckComplete all shipping paperworkConsolidate quantitiesStock product to yard locationsHaul orders to shop for additional processesEducation/Experience Requirements:Must be at least 18 years old to applyMust actively engage in safe working practiceNo educational requirementsShould demonstrate ability to multi-taskAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Shifts:Must be available to work 10 hour shifts and over time as requiredMonday – Friday, plus Saturdays (June – October)Typical shift hours:1st shift: 4:30 am – 1:30 pm, 5:00 am – 2:00 pm, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 1:00 am, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pmPay Rate:Base pay rate of $25.16, 2nd shift premium: $1.50, 3rd shift premium: $1.00Base rates increase $1/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)Annual base pay increases for first 3 yearsBenefits:Health and Dental InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid Vacation and Holidays401k plan with generous company matchApprenticeship programsOpportunity for advancementNeenah Foundry Company is an equal opportunity employer.
