The company's dedication to the green fleet includes aerodynamic trucks, compressed and liquefied natural gas trucks, and medium duty diesel-electric hybridsRequisition SummaryThe Material Flow Process Engineer provides process improvement support to Material Handling, Receiving, and 3rd party sequencing partners to meet material flow improvement targets as well as plant SQCDME (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment) objectives.Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesThrough the use of lean concepts (5S, standard work, visual management, etc.), identify and execute material flow process improvement projects.Represent Materials on plant kaizen events and support initiatives to improve part presentation to Production through kitting, sequencing, and small part tugger delivery.Lead projects to improve material warehousing efficiencies that enable more reliable and repeatable material delivery processes.Improve material unloading efficiencies and dock door utilization through the creation of scheduled receiving window times and other process improvements.Reduce material shortages by supporting inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.Understanding/experience working with warehouse management systems.QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredStrong communication skills with shop floor associates as well as managementCreative problem solving skills are critical to this position's successSound influencing skillsDetail Oriented & Data DrivenRobust Mathematical SkillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple open projects/tasksFunctional skills in Microsoft OfficeFunctional CAD knowledge and experienceDemonstrated use of Lean tools is preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
