Location: Chicago, Illinois

Expected Hours per Week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: C Shift, Friday & Saturday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and Sunday & Monday 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support daily materials and inventory operations. This role maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, and supports production through effective materials management and communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy by entering discrepancies, cycle counts, and receipts into inventory systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and run reports each shift to ensure appropriate supply levels.
• Communicate supply issues and risks to suppliers, Material Planners, and leadership.
• Support inbound and outbound logistics, including expediting and shipment tracking.
• Pull inventory to support production requirements and build-outs.
• Follow engineering change procedures and min/max inventory processes.
• Support plant inventory activities, dock operations, and shipment transactions.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a materials or manufacturing environment.
• 1–3 years of experience in materials, logistics, or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with inventory systems and JIT environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow standardized processes.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting plant inventory and dock operations.
• Experience with shipment tracking, expediting, and production material support.
