Material CoordinatorThe Material Coordinator expedites the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments.Essential Functions:Processes incoming customer requestsInterfaces and responds to both internal and external customer inquiries and complaintsProvides mission support for the Kirtland AFB tenant unitsUpdates all computer databases related to equipment tracking and reportingInterfaces with base equipment custodians and ensure appropriate documentation is currentTrains other supply personnel and equipment custodians when requestedTracks and reports unfavorable supply process trendsInteracts with higher headquarters on equipment questionsTrains equipment custodiansAssumes responsibility for the entire Equipment Management program on Kirtland AFBPerforms equipment account inventories base wide dailyResponsible for Stock Control (transportation, listings, D04, K350, AWP documentation, rejection items, SDR's, etc. as required by IAW 23-101, SOW and other AF directive)Maintains Kirtland AFB bench stock accountsEnsures inventory balances are being metProvides customer support using ES-S, Assent Management, IMDS and other AF websitesProvides technical assistance to supply customersProcesses requisitioning actionInterfaces with source of supply for stock availability statusProves in-depth analysis regarding materials management when requested or directedResearches all references related to MICAP processesThe Material Coordinator may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The Material Coordinator has the authority and responsibility to carry out assigned tasks.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.Ability to enter data accurately into databases.Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to generate routine reports and correspondenceExcellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.Must be trustworthy.

Will routinely handle confidential information.Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.Ability to follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas with limited information in high stress situations and environments.Problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
