Job TitleThis is an onsite role located in Spokane, Washington.Receives, identifies, stores and delivers a wide variety of raw material and manufactured/purchased parts for additional processing, assembly, machining, or direct shipment. This role also labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRecords purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods.Re-stocks items as necessary.Labels shelves.Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries.May perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materialsReceive, identify, issue and store material/parts in established location using appropriate identification methodFill and distribute basic material and repair ordersLabel, pack and load items for shipment according to specificationsUnload incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight billsMaintain records of all items received and shippedPerform cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconcile variancesDetect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties; provide necessary documentation to drive corrective actionsOperate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storageResponsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only).Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor.Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policyAssist as necessary to maintain proper flow of work through assigned area; participate in training less experienced associatesAssist in generating and updating standard work instructions/procedures; train others on proper proceduresActively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issuesRegularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team membersRegular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotelyMaintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashionPerform all work in accordance with established safety proceduresOther duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
