Master PlannerUnder direct supervision, the Master Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and inventory objectives to achieve on-time delivery, efficient utilization of resources and cost control. This role is onsite in Irvine, CA.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule to support manufacturing requirementsConvert demand forecasts, customer orders, and sales plans into executable production planBalance production capacity, labor, and material constraints to meet service and cost goalsCollaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Sales to ensure schedule alignmentLead or actively participate in S&OP / MPS review meetingsMonitor inventory levels, WIP, and finished goods to optimize inventory turns and minimize excess or obsolescenceIdentify risks related to material shortages, capacity constraints, or schedule changes and drive mitigation plansUtilize ERP/MRP systems to generate production signals, manage changes, and maintain data accurateSupport new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out planningTrack and report key metrics such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity utilizationDrive continuous improvement in planning processes and cross-functional communication.Perform other related duties as required by Plant ManagerRequirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaborationHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsAdvanced Excel skills; experience with planning and reporting toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing settingEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in master planning or production planning within a manufacturing settingStrong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsSolid understanding of manufacturing processes, routings, lead times, and capacity planningProven ability to analyze data, manage complexity, and make effective planning decisions
