Job Title: Master Electrician

Responsibilities

n
    n
  • n

    Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment systems, including isolating malfunctioning components.

    Perform repairs and routine preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment to minimize downtime.

  • n

    Maintain and update all process documentation related to electrical systems, equipment configurations, and maintenance activities.

  • n
  • n

    Support equipment modifications for process changes, new product models, and expansion projects, ensuring electrical systems meet operational requirements.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Install, program, calibrate, and monitor Variable Frequency Drives, instruments, and related control systems.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Monitor PLC processor operations and take action as directed or required to maintain proper system performance.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Support equipment and operations necessary to comply with safety and environmental regulations.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ensure all equipment remains in safe working condition and consistently apply Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures during maintenance and repair activities.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, diagrams, and electrical drawings, including conduit bending and installation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Work with PLC logic and programs to identify issues, make adjustments, and improve system functionality.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Apply knowledge of AC and DC motor controls to maintain, repair, and optimize motor-driven equipment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Use test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and high-voltage proximity testers to evaluate electrical systems and components.

  • n
  • n

    Adhere strictly to OSHA safety procedures and applicable electrical codes and standards.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Support crane drives and controls, high-voltage switchgear, and transformer systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Skills

    n
  • n

    Experience as an industrial or master electrician working in a manufacturing environment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Strong experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for industrial equipment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Proficiency in troubleshooting all phases of electrical circuitry, including high-voltage systems.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Hands-on experience with PLCs, including PLC troubleshooting, logic, and program work.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to install, program, calibrate, and monitor Variable Frequency Drives and related control systems.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Knowledge of AC and DC motor controls and their application in industrial equipment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.

  • n
  • n

    Experience with conduit installation and conduit bending in industrial settings.

  • n
  • n

    Competence in using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and high-voltage proximity testers.

  • n

    Understanding of grounding and shielding requirements for industrial electrical systems.

  • n
  • n

    Familiarity with crane drives and controls and high-voltage switchgear.

    Knowledge of transformers, including design, purpose, and application.

  • n

    Working knowledge of equipment Lock-Out Tag-Out requirements and procedures.

    Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC and NFPA.

    Ability to work safely and effectively in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
