Job SummaryMaster Control Operator is responsible for monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the station's high standards. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and preparing programming for play out.Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Perform on-air switching for live eventsOperate recording hardware, satellite receivers, and computer-based systemsPrepare and check material for on-air playback via automation systemVerify all material airing by referencing program logsMonitor on-air signals for quality controlMonitor transmitter and tower lights accurately to meet FCC regulationsAnticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occurPerform other duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Minimum High School DiplomaTV operation experience preferredWork well within a team environment and independently with minimal supervisionPossess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsComputer-literate and technically orientedSelf-motivated and a fast learnerExhibit a professional attitude at all times and be able to perform in a high-pressure environmentAble to sit/stand for long periods of timeGray Media provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
