Massachusetts Licensed Audit Abstractor

To support compliance and reimbursement audits, the full-time remote Massachusetts Licensed Audit Abstractor will accurately abstract protected health information (PHI), respond to third-party payer requests, and ensure timely fulfillment of documentation requests. Key responsibilities Abstract and categorize protected health information (PHI) to support audits and compliance requirements Respond to third-party payer requests and ensure timely delivery of required documentation Maintain knowledge of billing requirements and enforce hospital confidentiality policies Required qualifications Associate degree or high school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience in the Health Information Management field preferred Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical record components Experience with Epic clinical and/or financial applications preferred Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software
