Mass Tort & Environmental Associate Attorney

Mid-Level Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join a prestigious firm and their Mass Tort and Environmental team. This role involves handling complex, high-impact litigation, including large-scale tort claims, regulatory matters, and multi-party actions, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

They must also be an analytical thinker and collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure litigation environment.Job Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of mass tort and environmental litigation matters from inception through resolutionConduct legal research and factual investigation related to environmental exposure and liability issues.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memorandaParticipate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationCollaborate with partners, associates, experts, and support staffCommunicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counselApplicant Requirements:3-10 years of litigation experience in mass torts, environmental law, toxic torts, or complex civil litigationActive license and in good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience managing discovery and motion practiceEffective time-management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-based practiceCompensation:Salary: $200,000 - $500,000 based on experienceBonus: Performance-basedReferral IncentivesRelocation BonusBenefits:401kProfit SharingHealth Insurance (80% employer paid premium)Dental Insurance (80% employer paid premium)Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceSupplemental Insurance Plans through MetLifePaid Sick Leave
