Masonry Trainee / Apprentice - Job Description
Pay: $22-$25 per hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Helena and surrounding areas
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Masonry Trainee/Apprentice who is ready to learn the masonry trade from experienced professionals. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and building long-term skills in a high-demand trade.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist masons with brick, block, stone, and concrete work
• Help mix mortar, grout, and concrete
• Carry materials, set up work areas, and maintain clean job sites
• Learn to measure, cut, and shape masonry materials
• Operate hand and power tools under supervision
• Assist with scaffold setup and tear-down
• Follow safety procedures and jobsite instructions
• Support the completion of walls, foundations, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures

What We're Looking For

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Ability to lift 50-80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Prior construction or labor experience is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to pass background and/or drug screening (if required)
