Job TitleThis position supports 1st shift operations by performing soldering and hand assembly on a variety of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and mechanical chassis.This role requires consistent onsite collaboration and will be performed 100% at a BAE Systems facility. The assembler will work with electronic and mechanical components, perform inspections and rework, and support continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits, and modules using written instructions, wiring lists, diagrams, routing instructions, and process sheetsPerform soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components (training provided if needed)Conduct mechanical assembly to proper torque specificationsWire subassemblies using wiring lists, diagrams, and routing requirementsOperate assembly tooling, machines, and standard measuring toolsPerform in-process inspections and verify product conformance to requirementsPerform rework as required, including soldering and conformal coating (when certified)Work under a microscope to complete fine-pitch assembly tasksCollaborate with support staff and test personnel to diagnose and repair returned fielded units (Aftermarket environment)Follow work order instructions, policies, procedures, and quality standardsCross-train in multiple assembly positions and support continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsHigh school diploma or GEDWork experience in a manufacturing environmentBasic computer skills and typing abilityMechanical assembly ability and/or experienceFocus on qualityStrong communication skillsAbility to pass a VAST (visual acuity test)Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsAssociates degree or applicable manufacturing training classworkExperience in electrical assembly or circuit card manufacturingExperience wiring circuit cardsMechanical assembly experience with delicate partsJ-Standard / IPC-610 soldering experienceRework experience with conformal coatingUse of software for tracking WIP, quality, or inventory (Oracle, SAP, etc)Lean Six Sigma trainingPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $38041 - $60865 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
