Maryland Licensed Coding Educator

To support coding accuracy and regulatory compliance, the full-time remote Maryland Licensed Coding Educator will develop and deliver education programs, conduct coding audits, and collaborate with coding leadership to enhance coding practices and performance. Key responsibilities Develops and delivers coding education and training programs based on identified learning needs and audit findings Conducts coding quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and payer guidelines Provides education and guidance to coding staff to support accurate code assignment and address complex coding scenarios Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in health information management, nursing, or a related field Five or more years of professional medical coding experience, including education and training roles CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent nationally recognized coding certification Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Experience developing or delivering coding education and training materials for coding staff or clinical teams
