Remote Full Time Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations

To ensure compliance with coding standards, the full-time Maryland Certified Professional Coder will manage diagnostic and procedure coding for surgical services, assist in resolving complex coding issues, and contribute to the development of educational materials, all while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Research and assign HCPCS Level II codes for ambulatory surgical and professional services Provide support to coding staff by resolving complex cases and contributing to coding education Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to develop coding guidelines that meet regulatory standards Required qualifications: Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology At least four years of coding experience and knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements Associates degree in health administration or RHIT certification, or two years of relevant experience Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based certification High school diploma or GED is required
