Marketing Performance Data AnalystThe Hoover Institution at University seeks a marketing-savvy, data-driven Performance Analyst to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role is essential to measuring and optimizing campaign effectiveness across digital and traditional channels. The ideal candidate brings hands-on marketing experience, understands the role of storytelling in driving engagement, and can translate complex data into actionable insights using HubSpot, Google Analytics (GA4), and Looker Studio.

You'll lead campaign tracking and performance analysis, support data-informed decision-making, and help refine targeting, content strategy, and reporting. Candidates should be skilled in data cleaning, mining, visualization, and automation, with a strong grasp of marketing fundamentals. An interest in public policy is a plus.

This is a one-year fixed-term position. No visa sponsorship provided.Core duties include:Performance Measurement & ReportingTrack and report on campaign performance across email, social, web, paid, and earned mediaClean, segment, and analyze marketing data using HubSpot and GA4Build dashboards that blend performance metrics with clear, narrative insightsIdentify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities focused on audience and content engagementPartner with the Product Marketing Manager to optimize messaging and targetingStrategic Insights, Planning & ExecutionTranslate data into intuitive narratives for stakeholders and leadershipDesign and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to improve campaign outcomesProvide pre/post-campaign analytics and strategic recommendationsForecast trends and evaluate attribution models to shape planningData Management & ToolsEnsure proper tagging and tracking via HubSpot, GA4, and Google Tag ManagerMaintain marketing data integrity across CRM, automation, and analytics systemsPreferred qualifications:Marketing Strategy & Execution: Understanding of campaign lifecycles, storytelling, and content-driven engagementHubSpot Mastery: Experience with custom reporting, workflows, and lead scoringGA4 Proficiency: Ability to analyze user behavior, content performance, and conversion pathsData Storytelling: Skilled at crafting insights into persuasive, executive-ready narrativesMarketing Data Science: Experience using statistical tools to identify audience patterns and trendsPrevious experience in a marketing team or department is strongly preferred.
