Marketing Coordinator, Ohio Cyber Range InstituteThe School of Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati seeks to hire a Marketing Coordinator for the Ohio Cyber Range Institute to support all OCRI programs including the Ohio Persistent Cyber Improvement for Local Government Project (O-PCI), funded by the State of Ohio through a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency State and Local Cyber Improvement Grant.We are looking for a mission driven, team-oriented, highly ambitious individual who wants to serve, make a difference, and strives to perform at competitive levels of excellence. This is a grant-funded position; the continuation of this position will be based on the availability of funds and the continuation of the grant.Under general supervision from the OCRI Program Manager, the OCRI Marketing Coordinator will develop and maintain an engagement plan for key partners, influencers, and customers. The coordinator will document activities from the OCRI and partners, create content, and disseminate through appropriate communication channels interacting with education, government, and industry contacts throughout Ohio.
This position is 100% on-site but may offer flexibility for a hybrid work option once training is complete. Hybrid work arrangements are at the discretion of the supervisor and are subject to change in accordance with the School of Information Technology telework policy and university policies.Essential FunctionsDevelop, coordinate, implement, and revise marketing plans and promotional materials.Develop customer and department profiles; plan ads and media mix.Assess, develop, and coordinate public relations campaigns.Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes.Compile, update, and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs.Assist with the design, layout and writing of print and digital assets.Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision.Recommend cost containment proposals where applicable.Coordinate/evaluate bidding process regarding advertising and promotional materials.Review work of student artists to ensure products meet quality and style work standards.Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc.Perform related duties based on departmental needs.Required EducationBachelor's Degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or related field.Required ExperienceFive (5) yearsAdditional Qualifications ConsideredExperience supporting regional or state-wide initiatives similar to the Ohio Cyber Range Institute.Experience creating short form marketing videosExperience in promoting educational, government, and workforce development informationExperience in using modern communication channelsAbility to develop and execute plansUnderstanding the administrative functions, academic programs, and requirements of a university.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.Proficient in Adobe Suite ApplicationApplication ProcessReview of the applications will start as soon as possible until the position is filled.
