Market Sales Manager – Wine & Spirits
Location: Orange County, CA – field-based
Salary: $75-90K + 25% bonus + car allowance plus excellent benefits package
About the Opportunity
Join a successful global wine and spirits business with a growing portfolio of premium brands.
This is a highly field-focused market development role, working across Orange County to build distribution, develop distributor relationships, activate key accounts and increase brand visibility across on-premise and off-premise channels.
Key Requirements
- 1-2+ years' wine and spirits industry experience
- On-premise and off-premise market experience
- Experience working with distributor sales teams
- Understanding of distribution, merchandising and brand activation
- Experience with menu placements, POS, displays and promotions
- Strong account and relationship-building skills
- Confident presenting and conducting tastings or product activations
- Proactive and comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driving licence and reliable transportation
- Able to travel throughout the territory 4.5-5 days per week
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop the brand portfolio throughout Orange County
- Manage relationships with distributor DMs, AMs and KAMs
- Drive distribution, visibility and account activation
- Develop on-premise and off-premise account relationships
- Secure menu placements, displays and promotional activity
- Deliver sampling, demonstrations and consumer activations
- Merchandise accounts and build displays
- Ensure in-market execution meets company and brand standards
