Role Overview
Seeking a Market Manager based in Northern CA / San Francisco or South Bay to develop and manage sales of a distinguished wine portfolio through distributor networks. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts , collaborating with marketing on promotional strategies, and supporting distributor education and motivation.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets by cultivating relationships with top accounts and exploring new business opportunities.
- Coordinate product allocations and placements for top wines.
- Deliver sales performance goals, monitor budgets, and conduct distributor training.
- Provide market intelligence on performance trends, product development, and competition.
- Prepare for sales calls, manage expenses, and oversee field activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- College degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in wine sales through multi-tiered distribution channels.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Strong sales abilities, relationship‑building skills, and customer service focus.
- Proficient in Windows applications and reporting tools.
- Knowledge and passion for domestic and import wines.
Other Requirements
Must be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and travel domestically and internationally. Ability to lift 40 pounds and possess a valid driver’s license.
