Marine Parts Analyst# Marine Parts AnalystHwy 80 Jackson - Jackson, MS 39204## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelHigh School## DescriptionThe Marine Parts Analyst provides comprehensive fulfillment support for the company’s strategic Marine Parts customers. Key functions include processing order requisitions, validating in-stock conditions, sourcing placed orders, tracking and expediting back orders, coordinating packaging and order shipments. This role reports directly to the Petroleum Parts Supervisor.Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:* Manage all aspects of the order fulfillment process, including receiving, system entry, shelving, picking, and shipping parts in compliance with quality and safety standards.* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal Marine customers, ensuring timely and accurate order sourcing, back-order tracking and shipment coordination in line with service level agreements (SLAs).* Support retail sales operations by preparing quotes, validating parts availability, processing orders and returns, cross-selling, following up on leads, and resolving customer issues.* Provide timely updates on order status, back orders, and shipments.* Resolve customer issues professionally, maintaining a high level of service even in challenging situations.* Participate in after-hours on-call support to include weekend coverage.* Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders) safely to move parts for delivery or storage.* Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.* Foster positive relationships and effective communication with internal teams and external customers.## Qualifications* High school diploma or GED equivalent **required**.* Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role (parts sales or warehouse operations in a service shop environment preferred).* Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.* Must have and maintain a driving record (MVR) which adheres to the company’s motor vehicle policy standards.* Good critical thinking skills, meticulous, and ability to work with an exacting level of accuracy.* Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).* Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.* Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced service environment.* Ability to work a standard five-day work schedule, including daily overtime, and retain the ability to be on call for nights and weekends.
