The Manufacturing Training Program Lead works in close alignment with the Training Program Playbook and cross-functional partners to convert defined training requirements into a sustainable, scalable training system.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining System DesignTranslate approved training matrices into structured, role-based learning pathways for each manufacturing positionDevelop standard training modules, job aids, visual work instructions, and competency evaluation toolsDefine and document onboarding and skill progression standards by role and levelBuild training materials that are ready to deploy by supervisors and SMEs without additional design effortEnsure all training content aligns to process requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectationsSupervisor & SME EnablementCreate ready-to-deploy training packages that enable consistent delivery across shifts and teamsDefine how supervisors and SMEs deliver training using standard materials and structured assessmentsDevelop trainer preparation guides and facilitation resources to support effective on-the-floor trainingSupport fair, objective, and consistent skill assessment practices across the operationPartner with supervisors and Manufacturing Managers to identify training gaps and prioritize development needsTracking, Governance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and maintain training completion tracking and competency documentation systemsProvide Manufacturing leadership with visibility into training status, skill gaps, and compliance by team and shiftBuild feedback loops from learners and trainers to continuously evaluate and improve training effectivenessReview and update training content as processes, equipment, or standards changeSupport corrective action and response to training-related quality or compliance eventsProgram ExpansionApply the Petrifilm training framework to additional manufacturing areas across the facility over timeServe as the internal expert and resource for manufacturing training program design and executionCollaborate with HR, Quality, and Operations leadership to align training standards with broader organizational goalsQualifications / ExperienceBachelor's degree in Training & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of experience designing and managing training programs in a manufacturing, regulated industry, or operations environmentDemonstrated experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principlesAbility to translate complex technical processes into clear, practical training materials for floor-level useStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; comfort creating structured documents and visual job aidsClear communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organizationExperience in food safety, life sciences, diagnostics, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferredFamiliarity with competency-based training frameworks and skill progression models preferredExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital training platforms preferredBackground in training within a startup or ramp-up manufacturing operation a plusCome Be Part Of A Mission that Matters!From inside the farm gate to our dinner plates, Neogen protects the world's food supply.
