Discover the many reasons the world's most talented people are choosing to work at DuPont.The Manufacturing Technology Engineer will provide day-to-day technical expertise for many of the unit operations at the site, take ownership of process problems, identify, and implement process improvements, and lead teams and/or projects for longer-term growth and improvements. An integral part the MT Engineer role will be in supporting the site's PSM program by leading a PSM Technology element.Responsibilities:Identify and lead improvement projects to increase process capacity and reliability, improve product quality, increase yields, and reduce manufacturing costsAssist Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solvingProvide technical expertise for the chemical processes at the siteRespond to process issues and drive solutions to minimize impact to manufacturing.Lead PSM Technology Element(s) and assist with other elements as neededLead implementation of new processes and/or capital projects for the siteProvide basic data for capital projects and provide resourcing support ( e.g. development, commissioning, start-up, training)Develop, and ensure adherence to, standard operating procedures, best practices, and safety protocolsAccountable for complying with all EH&S regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.Leadership and participation in all safety related programs and an active champion in driving excellence in the site's safety performanceProvide off shift support for continuous operationsQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, major from an ABET accredited institution.GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.Minimum of 6 months of paid co-op or internship equivalent experience in your engineering discipline/major.Willingness to be on-call for plant area support when required.Legal right to work in the United States without employment restrictions.Demonstrated Abilities:Application of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirementsData driven decision making; root cause failure analysisStrong communication skills, both written and oralSelf-initiative, a motivated self-starter that can work independentlyAbility to handle multiple tasks and a high-volume workload with shifting and competing responsibilitiesDemonstrated strong project management skillsDemonstrated strong teamwork and networking skillsDesired Qualifications:2 years of professional experienceExperience using data to drive improvements in OEE, capacity release, cycle time, productivity, material efficiencies, cost, and qualityKnowledge or background using SPC tools, TrakSYS, or similar tools to drive improvements in the processUnderstanding of process control systems including batching and PLC systemsDemonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge and RCFA to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve, or assist others to solve equipment and/or process issuesSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationDemonstrated knowledge of key PSM Technology elements such as Process Hazards Analysis, Process Safety Information, Management of Change-Technology, PSSRJoin our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
