Manufacturing TechnicianHighway Machine Co. is looking for a dependable Manufacturing Technician to join our Princeton, Indiana manufacturing team. This position is focused on P&H operations, supporting the production, finishing, material handling, and preparation of large, custom-manufactured gears and components.You'll work alongside experienced manufacturing employees to prepare, finish, move, and package large components throughout the production process.

You'll gain hands-on experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and equipment while working closely with experienced production, engineering, and quality teams.What you'll do:Perform P&H operations including part finishing, preparation, and other production support activitiesPerform finishing processes such as deburring, sandblasting, shot peening, and paintingLoad, unload, and move large components and materials using forklifts and overhead cranesPrepare and package completed parts for shipmentRead and follow work orders, blueprints, and engineering specificationsMaintain material flow between departments and production areasPerform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or equipment issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all safety, quality, and company proceduresCommunicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to support productionPerform other manufacturing duties as assigned based on business needsWhat we're looking for:Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work safely around large equipment and componentsAbility to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and written instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable work ethic and willingness to learn new processesAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred, but not required:Manufacturing or industrial experienceExperience operating forklifts or overhead cranesExperience with sandblasting, shot peening, painting, or other finishing processesExperience working with large components or heavy industrial equipmentWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moderate to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, airborne particles, and large industrial components.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting, and handling materialsAbility to safely work around and handle large components and materialsBenefits IncludePaid vacation and holidaysHealth and vision insuranceCompany-paid dental insuranceCompany-paid life and disability insuranceSIMPLE IRA retirement plan with company matchOptional wellness benefitsHMC is committed to building a long-term workforce and providing employees with the stability, resources, and opportunities they need to grow with the company.Must be authorized to work in the United States.This description of the essential functions and responsibilities of the position is a basic summary of the requirements.
