Manufacturing Technician

Manufacturing TechnicianPGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Oxnard, CA for an approximately one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform manufacturing operations supporting the fabrication, assembly, testing, and production of mechanical components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.Required SkillsHigh school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.U.S. citizenship required.Demonstrated mechanical ability.Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and/or schematics.Ability to read, write, and work from instructions written in English.Familiarity with proper hand-tool techniques and safety, including tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.Familiarity with torque concepts.Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods during the workday.Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts based on manufacturing schedules.Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to take initiative in a manufacturing environment.Preferred SkillsProficiency with electronic test equipment such as DC power supplies, digital multimeters, and source meters.Proficiency with basic shop arithmetic.Experience or familiarity with ISO requirements, standards, and compliance.Experience with cranes and rigging, forklifts, and similar manufacturing equipment.What You'll DoFabricate and assemble mechanical components used in larger assemblies.Set up and test prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.Analyze test data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet specifications.Assist engineers with setup and calibration activities.Support the development, testing, and fabrication of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies and components.Perform rework and quality testing on parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.Collect and evaluate operating data and make adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.Handle and manage fragile composite materials.Track adhesive material usage, traceability, pot life, and out-time controls.Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings and shop planning documentation.Report manufacturing data and coordinate with other employees and departments.Help maintain overall shop appearance and cleanliness.Work Schedule / Shift9/80A work schedule.Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts as required by manufacturing schedules.Pay$47.30 per hour.Job ID: 2035
