Come see who we are at: assaabloy.com. What would you do as our Manufacturing Technician? You will play a major role in our production process, ensuring every door meets our standards. Helping to bring our designs to life, working with precision tools and advanced machinery to create doors that exceed customer expectations. You will also:Set-up and operate a variety of power machinery such as shear, roll, punch, cope, form, robotics, etc.

for materials of a standard, semi-standard or special type where frequent and complex set-ups are necessary.Work from blueprints, order pickers, routing tickets, cutting lists, shop drawing, and architect drawings as required.Mathematically calculate gauging and set-ups when processing special work and make adjustments accordingly.Attach fire labels (training required) & identification labels as needed.Crosstrain with other operators and other areas.Maintain necessary paperwork as required.Move material into and out of work area.Assess quality product, identify issues, and take corrective action in order to resolve.Check status of orders to ensure they are processed properly and on time.Promote a safe and harmonious work environment by adherence to safety regulations and participation in safety programs.Be expected to comply with all state and federal regulations, Company standards, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.Machinery & equipment we train on: Presses (gang, power brake, hydraulic, drill, etc.) shear, spot welder, projection welder, rolling machine, laser, etc. Small tools – tape measure, square, angle protractor, caliper, gauges, wrenches, testing equipment and scales Forklift, hand truck, power ox, and overhead crane MIG welder and grinder.The skills and experience you need:6 months manufacturing experience, preferredAble to read and write legibly, and communicate with othersAble to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work from sketchesGood knowledge of shop mathematics, work-in-process, and finished productGood manual dexterity and coordinationPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs. for approximately 25% of the timePeriodic overtime required to meet customer demandAble to work on own initiative without immediate supervisionAble to adjust and use computerized gaugingAbility to attain knowledge of metric dimensionsAbility to walk and stand for the entire shiftWhat we offer!
