Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance technicians provide technical support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and rebuild machines, perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned, and respond to breakdowns in a professional and timely manner while following all safety protocols. Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems. Position Responsibilities may include:Repair, maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsCoordinate maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging are least affectedRespond to calls from production and management to make repairsPerform established preventative maintenance programsAssist with all aspects of new equipment installationAssist management with scheduling maintenance projectsMaintain accurate and complete departmental recordsRecord all work in Fiix CMMSRead and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/schematicsEnsure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirementsFollow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standardsWork with contractors as neededPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needsNature & Scope:Works under direct supervision and follows written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasksIndependently performs assignments after given general instructions as to results expectedResolves routine questions and problems, coordinates complex issues to othersDemonstrates an awareness of the relative urgency of tasks and responds accordinglyKnowledge & Skills:Safe work habits, following proper LOTO and other OSHA requirementsMechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairMust have own and work with maintenance tools, including 480-volt and 3-phase electric voltmeterAbility to work with electrical circuits including 24-volt controls, 120-240 volt, single- and three-phase serviceCapable of using programmable logic controllers to troubleshoot and repair equipmentAbility to work under pressure and ability to synthesize complex or diverse informationMust be able to read and understand written and verbal policy, instruction, and directions in EnglishBasic ability to use Windows-based computer systemsAbility to perform alignment of belts, chains, and shaftsAbility to replace bearings and leadscrewsAble to use a variety of hand and power toolsRead and comply with work ordersHave basic electrical skills and knowledge (such as reading a meter and testing fuses)Able to install and repair light curtains and scanners so they function properlyAble to perform minor electrical repairs on production equipment such as frayed cords, switches, and sensorsAble to PM equipment in assigned areaKnowledgeable in 6S standardsAbility to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the jobExperience: 2-4 years of experience in:Industrial maintenancePneumatic and hydraulic systemsDC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches, and electric motorsPLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Direct LogicEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GEDAssociates degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatoryPeople Management: NoPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodationsReports To: Maintenance Supervisor and Manager
