We offer competitive pay and benefits to recognize the important role you will play in our life-saving work.We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician II – Filmcast (2nd Shift) to join our amazing team in beautiful Chattanooga, TN.As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:Manufacture medical device tubing per specifications, including startup and shutdown of filmcast, wire drawing, and braiding equipmentClean work area, equipment, and tooling thoroughlyRead, follow, and accurately complete all provided documentation (product drawings, work procedures, process logs, etc.)Have some computer proficiency with a willingness to learn computer systems required to perform job responsibilitiesInspect product per specifications using specified measuring equipmentHave ability to leverage previous methods, processes, equipment, and tooling to address new process and equipment challengesFollow good manufacturing practices (GMP): line clearance, work instructions, documentation, etc.Work closely with engineering to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturingWork with engineers to streamline process to meet manufacturing build time, cost, and yield targetsWork with engineers to generate clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standardsWork with and train other skilled technicians/operators in the manufacturing techniques, inspection methods, and required documentationCommunicate issues to engineering for collaborative continuous improvementBe willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have ability to modify work shift as needed by business conditionsPerform other duties as appropriate.Education, Experience and RequirementsTwo-years related manufacturing experiencePrior Filmcast and braiding experience is preferredAble to troubleshoot moderately complex process, equipment, and tooling issuesExtremely hands on with strong mechanical aptitudeForklift and aerial lift experience preferred, but not requiredGood written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP)Strong attention to detail, professional attitude, team playerPerform work tasks at elevated heightLift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 500 lbs.
