In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology advancing subsea robotics and play a key role in delivering our AUVs to our customers.
Working in a multi-disciplinary environment to scale our AUV production system, this role will involve assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, performing sub-assembly testing and integrating them into the final product to be ready for service!What You'll Do:Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists on AUV assembly and integration effortsBuild, integrate, and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies into our world class AUVsRouting and servicing high-reliability cabling and wiring harnessesDesign, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiencyFabricate and modify machined parts and COTS componentsContribute to all stages of the vehicle product development and manufacturing life cycle and provide feedback to the engineering teamHelp develop, document, and improve our workflowsHelp organize and establish our on-site manufacturing workflowPotential of traveling offshore to support our operations teamRequired Qualifications:3+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical field (automotive/marine, aerospace, industrial equipment)Familiar with simple fabrication processes, basic hand tools, and both plastic/metal part manufacturingA sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative cultureA full understanding of the manufacturing life cycleExperience working off of technical documentation and engineering drawingsCommitment to a high-quality product and strong sense of personal accountabilityFamiliarity with building and maintaining electromechanical systemsExtremely organized and detail-orientedExcellent verbal & written communication skillsHas a never-ending sense of urgency and enthusiasmEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience in sub-sea robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment)Previous experience hoisting equipment or MA state hoisting license (overhead gantry, rigging)Experience working with electrical components up to 400VDcProficiency with electrical debug including use of tools such as a digital multimeterMachining and/or 3D printing experienceUS Hourly RangeManufacturing Technician/Level 2: $25 - $33/hour Manufacturing Technician/Level 3: $28 - $37/hour Manufacturing Technician/Level 4: $32 - $42/hour Your job level will be tailored to your individual qualifications, including your job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
