This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, operating production equipment, and developing a strong understanding of industrial refining processes over time. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support production operations in an edible oil and glycerin refining facility while training toward full proficiency in operating assigned systems.
This is typically a 6–12 month developmental role designed to build capability in safe operations, process understanding, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance within multiple production areas.Duties:Operate safely at all times in a manufacturing production environmentLearn and demonstrate increasing understanding of glycerin refining and vegetable oil refining processes, including associated utility systemsFollow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standardsMaintain accurate and timely production records and documentationPerform routine in-process sampling and basic laboratory analysis as requiredComplete sanitation and cleaning duties in accordance with SOPs, food safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Support production logistics activities including receiving, shipping, and packaging materials as neededParticipate in formal training, testing, and evaluations to achieve proficiency in assigned production systemsAssist with basic equipment maintenance awareness and troubleshooting support as trainedComply with all occupational safety policies and proceduresWork within GMP guidelines at all times in production areasParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute ideas for process efficiencySupport cross-functional team needs as required in a changing production environmentSkills and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredStrong reading, writing, basic math, and clear communication skillsMust be computer literate and comfortable using basic software systems for documentation and reportingStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset preferredPrior experience in food processing, biodiesel, ethanol, or manufacturing environments preferred but not requiredAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksAbility to climb stairs and work at heights when requiredComfortable working in varying weather and temperature conditionsMust be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and respond to after-hours needs when requiredAbility to operate or learn to operate equipment such as forklifts and telehandlersStrong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work with changing team membersCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementMust consistently follow GMP and workplace safety standardsEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredManufacturing or production experience is helpful but not requiredWork Environment:Industrial manufacturing facility with multiple production areasExposure to varying temperatures and non-climate-controlled environmentsRequired use of PPE including safety-toe footwear, protective eyewear, and gloves when applicableFast-paced production setting with a strong focus on safety, sanitation, and operational consistencyDisclaimer:Please note that we are unable to provide job sponsorships, including, but not limited to, visas, corp-to-corp arrangements (C2C), or any other form of sponsorship for employment.
