Manufacturing Technician

Manufacturing TechnicianPerforms general manufacturing production and non-production machine and equipment maintenance. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime. Provides direction and training to associates on shop floor.Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:Major responsibility will be managing a high-volume, highly automated assembly line complete with vision systems, pick-in-place robots, and error systems.Work with the processes, through the metrics of throughput, inventory reduction, scrap & rework tracking, and cost reduction to achieve objectives.Assist in the day-to-day production for the production cell, including product delivery and meeting customer expectations.Operate manufacturing equipment as requiredMaintain equipment through preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance programsCreate, maintain and promote all quality systems and procedures in compliance to PPT's QMS and ensure the quality of all manufactured components in the cell adheres to the standardsMaintain a clean, safe and organized workplace/environment with 5S principles through training and auditsDrive focus on safety as an integral part of the team's day-to-day awareness and activities.Train other associates as required in all aspects of production operations, quality and safety.

Assure the area of responsibility has sufficient cross-training to accomplish objectives on a continual basis. Manage and administer the on-the-job training and certification program as requiredAssist in the coordination part movement through the cells, including from logistics and to the customer in or out of the cellAssist in the daily communication between shifts, including team members, Coaches, and other techniciansEnsure accurate Production reporting for the cell daily through measurable metrics (pieces, scrap, OOE, etc.)Lead responsibility for ordering tooling and making sure all supplies are available to operate the cell in an efficient mannerSet up and change over equipment and participate in machine qualifications at suppliers and in-houseIdentify and utilize all resources required to meet department objectives by coordinating with support departmentsMachine alignmentHere is some of what you'll need (required):High School Diploma or GEDAbility to prioritize while driving multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyAbility to identify, analyze, prioritize and solve complex issues and problemsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of SPC and Lean Manufacturing FundamentalsAbility to train others using various avenues, including classroom and OJTAbility to read and interpret BlueprintsStrong ability to troubleshoot process-related issuesUnderstand process improvementMust have experience and understanding of Mechanical SystemsStanadyne is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, gender, color, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status or any other protected class.
