This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.Job OpportunityTitle: Manufacturing TechnicianLocation: Concord, NCSchedule: 12-hour Dupont rotating swing shift (14 days/month with a 7-day break)Compensation: $2.00/hour night shift differential Sunday premium at 1.5x payRole PurposeAs a Manufacturing Technician, you will serve as a key technical resource during your shift, providing second- and third-level troubleshooting support for manufacturing processes and equipment. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues that affect throughput, quality, safety, and equipment performance. In addition to responding to immediate technical problems, you will help identify root causes, support preventive maintenance efforts, and recommend durable solutions to address recurring issues.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide on-shift technical support for manufacturing operationsTroubleshoot equipment and process issues with urgency and precision to support production goalsSupport resolution of throughput, performance, and safety-related issues impacting outputIdentify chronic equipment and process problems and recommend robust long-term corrective actionsMonitor area performance, proactively identify issues, and drive them through to closureManage multiple technical issues simultaneously while applying established technical standards and troubleshooting methodsSupport preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep initiativesProvide technical expertise to maintenance personnel for repair, installation, testing, maintenance, and debugging of equipmentComplete detailed and accurate documentation for troubleshooting activities, repairs, and projectsMaintain systems and actions necessary to support department certification requirements, quality system audit programs, and ISO14000 compliancePromote and reinforce a safe work environment, including adherence to housekeeping and safety standardsRequired QualificationsAssociate degree or 2-year technical degree in Mechatronics or a related field OR High school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of technical manufacturing experience, including verifiable electrical systems capabilityExperience troubleshooting and repairing: Mechanical equipment Electrical controls Pneumatic controlsProficiency using test equipment for troubleshooting and diagnosticsFamiliarity with sensors, switches, motors, and actuatorsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine specificationsDemonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvementsDesired QualificationsBasic knowledge of PLC control systemsProven ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environmentSelf-starter with strong initiative and a results-driven approachAbility to work cross-functionally to assess manufacturing system functionality and support equipment/process improvementWhat Success Looks LikeSuccessful candidates in this role are: Strong hands-on troubleshooters who can respond effectively in a fast-paced environment Focused on safety, quality, and production performance Capable of balancing immediate issue resolution with long-term reliability improvements Organized, accountable, and thorough in documentation and follow-through Effective communicators who collaborate well across production, maintenance, and technical teamsThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is $58,934.00 - $81,034.00 assuming full time status.
