Our client in Freehold, NJ, is seeking a Direct Hire Manufacturing Shop Manager.
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7AM-4PM, Fri 7AM-1130PM
Salary Range: $60-80K
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor shop personnel, including mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
- Oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all shop equipment.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Enforce all safety regulations and procedures Including PPE.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in shop processes and efficiency.
- Requirements:High School diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical shop measuring devices.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Shop Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Experience with water jet or Laser a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, practices, and procedures.
