Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Fairfield)

We are hiring for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, problem-solving, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Location: Fairfield, OH

⏳ Duration: 6+ Months

Hours: 3:00pm-10:00pm (2nd Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate manufacturing and product quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis .
• Drive containment, corrective, and preventive actions (CAPA) .
• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities to reduce defects, scrap, and rework .
• Support production teams with process audits, quality controls, traceability, and documentation .
• Maintain and improve process control plans and manufacturing quality standards.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Quality teams.
• Support new product introductions and process changes from a quality perspective.
• Provide quality guidance and training to production personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering , or related technical field.
• 5+ year of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Support Engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/factory environment .
• Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis, or FMEA/PFMEA is preferred.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma is a plus.
