Manufacturing Project ManagerRothschild, Wisconsin, United StatesAbout the RoleThe Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through production launch. This role focuses on new product introduction, APQP project execution, and manufacturing readiness to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The position collaborates closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive efficient product launches and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional manufacturing and engineering projects from concept through production launch using APQP methodologiesDevelop and implement process plans including bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing documentationDefine and validate technical, manufacturing, and resource requirements to ensure production readinessCreate and maintain production drawings using CAD and communicate requirements to manufacturing teamsResolve discrepancies in drawings, specifications, and contract requirements impacting productionManage engineering change orders and change management processes throughout the product lifecyclePartner with production and quality teams to address manufacturability, inspection, and PPAP requirementsDevelop and manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and critical paths to ensure on-time deliveryCommunicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and leadership teamsSupport testing, validation, training, and documentation for successful product implementationDrive continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and manufacturing workflowsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experienceProven experience managing manufacturing or engineering projects in a production environmentStrong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, change management, and new product introduction processesExperience with CAD software and ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficiency with project management tools and ERP systemsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and production planningExcellent communication and cross-functional leadership skillsDesired QualificationsExperience in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesPMP certification or formal project management trainingExperience with production scheduling and capacity planningKnowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, and regulatory requirements
