Responsibilities
* Production Oversight:
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
* Staff Supervision:
Lead, supervise, and support production associates.
Compose and deliver performance evaluations. Corrective action notices and provide constructive feedback.
* Quality Control:
Train, monitor, and quality control standards.
Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
* Inventory Management:
Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory.
Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
* Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions.
Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Safety Compliance:
Enforce and promote safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
* Communication:
Effectively collaborate with site cross-functional partners. (e.g., quality, logistics, maintenance).
Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully effectively to ensure smooth operations.
* Training and Development:
Train new production associates.
Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards. (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.)
Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
* Equipment Maintenance:
Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment.
Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
* Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Generate reports for management on production metrics.
equirements
* HS Diploma or GED equivalent. Degree preferred.
* Strong preference for Dairy experience
* Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a food production environment. Food manufacturing experience is a must have.
* One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Strong leadership background - ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
* Ability to manage and develop associates.
* Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
* Ability to lift upto 60 LBS
