Manufacturing Process EngineerWe are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and optimizing machining processes for turnkey manufacturing projects, supporting CNC programming, and providing technical support to customers. You will be part of a team that values strong work ethic and collaboration in a stable and family-oriented company.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in project kickoff meetings and status updates.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and part tolerances.Define cutting processes, tooling strategies, workholding solutions, and quality requirements.Ensure engineering deliverables, approval prints, tooling, and workholding designs are accurate and on schedule.Support project execution from machine arrival through final customer acceptance.Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for lathes and machining centers.Perform machine setup, process prove-outs, debugging, and runoff activities.Develop and implement tooling, fixturing, probing, automation, and gauging solutions.Support CNC programming activities utilizing G-code, M-code, macro programming, and variable programming techniques.Assist with troubleshooting machining, programming, tooling, and process-related issues.Operate and support Zeiss CMM inspection activities as needed.Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to internal and external customers.Conduct customer machine training on operation, programming, and basic troubleshooting.Provide applications and process support both remotely and onsite.Travel to customer sites to support machine installation, runoff, process validation, and operator training.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical expertise.Create and maintain process documentation, setup sheets, reports, and project records.Monitor tooling and workholding performance and provide recommendations for improvement.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, cycle time, quality, and machine utilization.Maintain current technical knowledge through ongoing professional development and training.Essential Skills2+ years of CNC programming and development experience.Experience with CNC platforms such as Okuma, Mazak, Doosan (DN Solutions).Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.Additional Skills & QualificationsG and M Code programming from scratch.Experience in mill and lathe setup, machine programming, CAD design, and process improvement initiatives.Work EnvironmentThis position is set in a manufacturing environment with a standard Monday to Friday, first shift schedule. The company is a close-knit, family-owned business with over 100 years of history, known for its strong work ethic and team-oriented environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ - $ /hr.
