Material PlannerVertiv is hiring a Material Planner to oversee purchased parts, set and maintain planning parameters, and develop comprehensive plans for each component.
Responsibilities include determining proper ABC classification, accurate forecasting, and developing statistical mixes for planning bills.
The role also involves managing safety stock, reorder points, MIN/MAX levels, and periods of supply to optimize inventory, customer service, and total cost of ownership. This position supports multiple plants in Mexico and the US.ResponsibilitiesMonitor MRP forecasts, inventory, customer demand, production requirements, inventory transactions, and reject material.Analyze and determine stocking levels for programs such as ABC, Min/Max, and Kanban.Determine the allocation of parts between plants for scarce materials.Maintain ERP system parameters, including material master data and performance criteria.Monitor and follow up on various inventory discrepancies across different sites.Maintain Planning Bill accuracy.Identify E&O material and coordinate actions to set and meet targets.QualificationsMinimum Job Qualifications:0-3 years of Planning experience or Supply Chain backgroundPlanning SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDetail-orientedAbility to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of supply chain processesProficient in MS OfficePreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fieldEducation and Certifications0-3 Years experienceBachelors Degree a plusProfessional Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.Lean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification a plusPhysical RequirementsNo Special Physical RequirementsEnvironmental DemandsWorking around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors)Travel Time RequiredUp to 10%The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.Our Core Principals: Safety.
