executing standard and experimental process flows; and supporting researchers and engineers in developing, characterizing, and improving novel semiconductor processes and devices.ResponsibilitiesTechnician I: Executes standard wafer processing with minimal supervision.Technician II: Independently operates tools, supports troubleshooting, and assists engineering effortsTechnician III: Advanced technical contributor supporting complex processes and toolsets.Senior Technician: Senior-level technical authority providing leadership in FAB operations and R&D execution.Wafer Processing & Equipment OperationOperate semiconductor fabrication equipment including photolithography, dry and wet etch, deposition systems (CVD, PVD, ALD), bonding tools, diffusion/implant tools, CMP, electroplating, metrology, and wet clean tools.Execute process recipes, travelers, and experimental process flows accurately and consistently.Handle 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, and/or 300mm wafers in compliance with cleanroom and EHS standards.Research & Development SupportSupport experimental runs, prototype builds, and funded research programs.Collaborate with process engineers and researchers on process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.Collect process and metrology data and provide structured feedback to engineering teams.Metrology & DocumentationPerform in-line and end-of-line metrology (film thickness, CD, profilometry, defect inspection).Accurately document results, deviations, and observations in lab notebooks, MES systems, and databases.Support data integrity, traceability, and reporting requirements.Safety, Compliance & Cleanroom PracticesFollow all cleanroom protocols, chemical handling procedures, and EHS requirements.Support chemical inventory management, waste handling, and safety audits.Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.Operational SupportAssist with material tracking, consumables management, and inventory control.Support tool scheduling, availability, and daily FAB operations.Assist with onboarding and training of new users as appropriate to level.Required QualificationsManufacturing Operations Technician IHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic computer skills (Excel, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresAbility to manage multiple priorities in a cleanroom environmentManufacturing Operations Technician II3+ years hands-on semiconductor FAB experienceExperience with at least one 200mm or 300mm tool functional areaAbility to work effectively in a flexible development environmentManufacturing Operations Technician III5+ years hands-on semiconductor FAB experienceExperience with at least two major semiconductor tool functional areasStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose root cause, and recommend solutionsSenior Manufacturing Operations Technician8+ years semiconductor FAB experienceBroad expertise across multiple tool platforms and process areasAbility to initiate lot starts, coordinate operations, and mentor junior staffProven ability to interface effectively with engineers, researchers, and leadershipRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsTechnician IAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical fieldExposure to semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environments1+ year hands-on semiconductor FAB experienceR&D or university FAB experienceTechnician IIExperience with SPC, MES, or structured data systemsExperience with one or more semiconductor toolsets (etch, litho, deposition, cleans, metrology)R&D semiconductor manufacturing experienceSalary RangeTIE Pays Industry Competitive SalariesSupplementary pay: OvertimeWorking ConditionsUniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished)May work around chemical fumesMay work around standard office conditionsMay work around electrical and mechanical hazardsRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstationUse of manual dexterity (ex: using a mouse)Climbing of stairsLifting and moving 25 poundsAdditional Working Conditions:Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periodsAbility to move FOUPs, wafer carriers, and equipment componentsProlonged standing, walking, and fine motor tasksWork ShiftMonday – FridayRequired MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information;
