Manufacturing Operations Director

Manufacturing Operations DirectorWe are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Director to join an industry-leading organization. This Director will oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations for this location. This is a growing operation/division that is supported by an international company that cares about its people.Develop, implement, and monitor all manufacturing activities appropriate to the ongoing operation of the facility including fabrication, manufacturing operations, assembly, and production planning.Align production manufacturing capacity, material, shipping activities, and personnel planning to demand forecasts, including rollouts and other schedule demands.Responsible for all environmental, health, and safety activities at the facility and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, internal company policies, and customer contractual performance agreements and audits.Establish and monitor facility operating budget; analyze manufacturing costs and material usage reports; develop labor models; identify and implement improvements to positively affect profitability.Responsible for the development of processes & procedures to increase overall efficiency while maintaining quality standards.Develop the plans and drive new initiatives focused on procedures and standards, high levels of product quality, and is a catalyst for the overall lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Coordinate with Human Resources all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to, employee interviewing, hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplinary action, complaints, scheduling, training, and development, etc.Reliable attendance a must.Allocate Quality resources to project teams, programs, and manufacturing process improvement, teamsConduct annual performance reviewsEstablish and implement improvements for cost reduction, quality assurance, and production.Recommend purchase of all capital equipment and plant expansion.Prepare/maintain various reports, records, and/or logs (such as budget, production, environmental, and safety)Foster and maintain a high level of customer service through on-time deliveries, responsiveness to customer needs, and ensuring that the quality of the shipped product meets all customer quality requirements.Create and manage key performance indicators (daily, weekly and monthly) necessary to meet overall departmental objectives.Ensure employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs to include safety, quality, and production.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Manufacturing related focus5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of manufacturing and management techniques including: Pull System, Single Piece Flow, Kaizen, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, Team Building.Proven project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Track record of building a high-performing team to succeed in a demanding, fast-moving, and growth-oriented atmosphere.Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities.Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven record of building relationships and collaborating across multiple operations and corporate support functions.
