Manufacturing Lead Machinist

Manufacturing Lead MachinistWorking as Full-time Manufacturing Lead Machinist, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the shop floor including to support the continued growth of the Manufacturing division. This position will work with the operations manager, inside sales team and other lead machinists to schedule machine workloads.Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Providing support to the shopEnsuring quality and on-time delivery of our productMaintaining accuracy while performing multiple tasksProviding leadership and guidance for machine operatorsMaintaining timecards within our Kronos systemMaintaining a safe working environmentCommunicating effectively from shift to shiftThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:18 years of age or olderPossess at least 2 years of Manufacturing work experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyExcellent safety and attendance recordsDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsWork independently as well as in a team environmentLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
