Position Type: Full-time, direct hire, onsite

Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 base salary range + bonus opportunities

Schedule: Monday–Friday, days

We are partnered with a manufacturer in search of a hands-on General Manager to lead a specialized welding and manufacturing facility serving the aerospace industry. This is an opportunity for an experienced welding professional to take ownership of daily operations, lead an established team, and maintain strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate combines technical welding expertise with manufacturing leadership experience and enjoys working directly with employees on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, production schedules, and customer delivery commitments.
• Lead and support a small team of welding and manufacturing employees.
• Inspect welds, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Review blueprints, welding specifications, and customer requirements.
• Manage customer communication regarding orders, timelines, and quality concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, quality, and efficiency.
• Oversee overall facility performance and communicate operational updates to company leadership.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, welding, or business preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or military defense manufacturing industries preferred.
• Strong welding knowledge and experience inspecting welds.
• Previous leadership experience in a welding, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of production scheduling, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team in a hands-on environment.
